I would like to contact Mattel to ask them to produce a line of pivotal/articulated bodies-only – no heads, no clothes, no accessories – in a large varitey of skin tones, marketed to adult collectors who rebody dolls. They could sell them online, and avoid the extra costs and shelf space of selling in stores. If they didn’t sell them in stores, they could also save costs related to packaging. Those of us who would be buying these bodies wouldn’t require fancy packaging or bright colors to catch our eye; we would be sold before we went to search for them! They wouldn’t be marketed to collectors who keep dolls in their boxes to maintain their value. We would debox them and use them!
